With our comprehensive in-house laboratory we can get results in minutes to help determine why your pet is unwell.
Our extensive blood testing equipment includes:
- HM5 haematology analyser: allows us to assess red and white blood cell parameters which can give us indicators of infection, inflammation, dehydration and anaemia.
- Vetscan VS2 analyser: provides information on liver and kidney function, electrolyte balance, endocrine testing, testing for snake bite
- VSPRO analyser: assessment of coagulation (blood clotting) including for assessment in cases of suspected snake bite or rat bait ingestion.
-iSTAT analyser: useful particularly in urgent cases to assess electrolytes, acid base balance and shock parameters.
-Cube analyser: endocrine testing, assessing inflammatory and pancreatitis markers.
With our two state of the art ultrasound units, including the Mindray Resona 7, we are able to diagnose and report on complex cases in-house. Dr Andrew has extensive ultrasound experience and has mentored Dr Callie through the completion of a Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Abdominal Ultrasound.

ACE’s C-arm fluroscope (OEC Elite MiniView), is the only one of its kind in the veterinary industry in Australia. This brand new technology uses less radiation and allows us to see continuous real time x-rays while aiding minimally invasive surgery - such as fracture repair.
Our dental x-ray unit allows us to perform intra-oral dental radiography to help identify dental disease not visible to the naked eye.
